General Information

Ardgarry Farmhouse was built in 1868 and was originally the home of the Stalker/Game keeper who was employed by the Ellice family to look after the vast Aberchalder Estate. One of his main tasks was to control the number of Deer, and leading shooting parties for the Gentry. Through the passage of time it became a small working farm "Ardgarry Farm" and eventually was sold off by the Estate in the 1950s. From then, it has been developed to provide accommodation for visitors to the area, offering an opportunity to sample life in the Highlands, meet the animals and enjoy the stunning surroundings first hand.

Bed and Breakfast

Our bed and breakfast accommodation consists of one double en suite room housed within the farmhouse but with its own private access, sleeping up to 2 persons.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept pets in our Bed and Breakfast and do not have the facility to put any extra beds in the room. It should be noted that this room has a Double bed and there is no facility for Single beds.

The room will be available from 4.00pm and we ask that you vacate before 9.30am on day of departure. The latest check in time is 8.00pm.

The Summerhouse - Maximum 2 persons (self catering)

  • Kitchen - Cooker, kettle, microwave, fridge, toaster, washing machine etc
  • Access - Level, no steps. Parking close by
  • Pets – by prior arrangement.
  • Linen - Bed linen and towels included
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Electricity Included
  • Does NOT include breakfast

Coachhouse Cottage - Maximum 4 people (self catering)

  • Satellite TV/DVD
  • Heating and lighting - Electrically heated and use energy saving lighting where possible
  • Kitchens - Cooker, kettle, microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster, coffee maker, washing machine etc
  • Access - Parking next to cottage
  • Pets - No pets allowed in cottage
  • Linen - Bed linen and towels included
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Does NOT include breakfast
  • Additional discount available for couples requiring ONE room only

Highgarry Lodges - Maximum 6 people (self catering)

  • Satellite TV/DVD
  • Heating and lighting - Electrically heated and use energy saving lighting where possible
  • Kitchens - Cooker, kettle, microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster etc
  • Access - Lodges all have steps, parking close to lodges
  • Pets - Well behaved pets are welcome. But it is essential that all pets are declared at the booking stage. We may not be able to accommodate guests who arrive with an undeclared pet. Maximum 2 pets in a Lodge charged @ £7.50 per pet per night. Pets are not to be left unattended at any time inside or outside the hired property and supervised and on a leash when outside

  • We do not have the space at the lodges, so no ball games please

  • Laundry facilities available
We do not have Super-fast Wi-Fi but is given 'FREE' of charge and the download speed is up to a maximum of 4Mb. The signal strength is generally good although cannot always be guaranteed being a radio signal.
 
Laundry facilities are available in our Laundrette, this facility is chargeable. Please ask on arrival for opening times.
